Hank's Crawling

Hank finally started crawling in the middle of June. He wasn't interested in crawling for awhile. I was fine with that, because it was less he got into. He crawls with one leg and the other is off to the side. He is really on the move now and gettting into all sorts of things. We had to dog proof our home 3 years ago, now we have to child proof our home. It is fun to watch him grow.

Happy Hank!!

Hank's one legged crawl!

He likes anyrhing with buttons!

Love the way he crawls.

Santa in June!

My Dad spent a week on an island in the Upper Peninsula called Isle Royale. He was hiking with some friends and didn't shave for 10 days. He got in early Sunday morning (June 17th) and came to church with a full beard. He wanted to show all the grandkids his beard. I think he was pretty proud of it. A couple of the kids called him Santa.

Dad loves to hike and hopes to walk some of the Appalachian Trail in the fall, that is if mom lets him. I hope he always stays heathy so he will live a long life on earth with us. Love my Dad so much!!!

Hank didn't know what to think of Grandpa!!

Happy Father's Day Dad!!

Hank thought it was so funny!

Good Morning!!

At the end of May, Hank would wake up very happy & play in his bed for 30 minutes or so.. and sleep in, till about 8am. I was really enjoying this, but didn't get use to it. I just knew it would last and it didn't, now he is back up at 7am and ready to go for the day. I will try and bring him into my bed to see if he will fall back asleep, but be just gets so excited to see me and be in bed with me. So we are usually up at 7am every morning. I have even tried to put him to bed later but he is still up at 7am. I shouldn't complain because he is sleeping through the night (started that at 10 mths), from 8pm to 7am. I love sleeping through the night too.. I just feel so much better.

I'm awake!!

Good Morning!

Happy to see his mommy!

Happy Father's Day!!

It was a great Father's Day this year. Aaron got to enjoy the day with his little boy. Aaron has always said, he only wants boys. Until the days we struggled to get pregnant, he said he would take a girl or a boy. Not that we had the option to choose, but it's fun to talk about. At this point he was not going to be picky at all, he just wanted a child.
I know he is so happy to have his little boy that he hopes will follow him around and learn so many different things that he learned from his dad. He does so many great things for our little family and I know I appreciate all he does.

Hank and I got daddy a couple tools for father's day and forgot to give them to him until about 9pm that night. I needed Hank to remind me to give daddy his presents.

Summer Fun!

We have had some very HOT days here in Ohio this last week. The temperature have been in the 90's, so that makes for some great swimming weather. My sister Marsha has a pond about 3miles away so we spent two afternoon in the water this week. Hank did better then I thought, he was pretty happy in the water. I had to make sure he had his sunscreen on and a hat so he didn't get burned. I grew up swimming everyday in the water and I'm sure that is how Hank will spend most of his summers days too.

Bella is swimming & having fun too!!

A New Cousin for Hank!

Hank got a new boy cousin on June 13th. His name is Jesse Ray Pieracini. He was 9 lbs 3oz & 20 1/2" - we went to visit when they got home from the hospital. It was different to hold a tiny baby because I still feel that Hank is a baby, but he is almost one. Hank is going to love growing up with all his boy cousins that live with in 10 miles. We are grateful for family.

Congratulation Kyle, Kara & Big brother Jake!!!

Hank's First Hair Cut

Hard to believe it's time for Hank's first hair cut. My baby is growing up. I had 3 of my siblings tell me that Hank's bangs are getting to long or in his eyes. I think that was a nice why of telling me you need to cut his hair. I knew it but was having a hard time accepting it all. I also finally got Aaron to let Hank's Aunt Marsha cut it too. Aaron thought he needed to cut it with his clippers. I had to remind him several time that Hank is still a baby and doesn't need a buzz.

Hank sat pretty good for his first cut with no crying so I was happy. He was ready to be done at the end! Hank had his cousins Robyn, Morgan & Sam entertaining him while he was getting his cut so he would sit still. They were every helpful. Now, Hank is all ready for his party on July 6th!!

Ready for my hair cut!

Cloth Diapers

We are a cloth diaper family! When we got pregnant with Hank, my friend Crystal asked me if I had ever consider using cloth diapers. I was like what!! The only cloth diapers I know is the ones my mom used on us. The white diapers with pins & rubber pants! Crystal said they have changed in so many ways, so she showed us the diapers they were using for Jillian. I thought they were so cute.

I thought about it for months and did the research. We knew it was going to be a huge expense to get started, but knew it would pay off in the long run. We wouldn't have to make diaper runs to Wal-mart & we are not filling up the landfill with disposable diapers.  I thought is was going to be a little overwhelming to get started, but it wasn't has hard as I was making it.

We have 24 bumGenius diapers and have to wash every 2-3days.  I preferre to hang them on the line so the sun is bleaching the stains, but that can only happen in the summer months here in Ohio. I really enjoy using cloth diapers, but most of all we are saving a ton of money in the long run. Plus babies look so cute in cloth with all the different colors they have. Maybe one day I can buy some "pink" ones!!

This is what my clothes line looks like every 2 - 3 days in the summer!

Clean diapers & a sleeping baby - Life doesn't get much better!! :)
This is how Hank would help the 1st year - sleeping & being a good boy so I can get the diaper on the line!!

Hank's Blessing Day

Aaron started planning Hank blessing day before he even arrived. He was talking and planning it & I thought lets just wait to see if he really arrives. I still had a little doubt because it was all a big dream to me that I was having a baby! Aaron was to excited to not plan ahead.
We blessed Hank Aaron Pohm on Sunday, September 4, 2012 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. (Wauseon Branch) It was our 6th wedding anniversary on Saturday the 3rd and what a better way to spend our anniversary then to bless our first child.

It was a very special day for our little family. We had many people at church to support us.

I do not have any pictures of Aaron's parents
because they took off after church when it was picture time. Sorry!! :(

We then had a nice lunch at our place after church and invited everyone who attended the blessing. I think that is the most amount of people we have ever had at our place. It was crazy but a lot of fun.
Thanks to all that made an effect to be at Hank's special day.

Aaron is one proud Daddy and loves to make sure Hank is around enough MAN toys!! I know he can't wait for the day that Hank follows him around and wants to play with Trucks, Trackers, Four wheelers & Tools!!
