Apples & Pumpkins

It was a fall weekend for Hank!!! Hank was visiting his Grandpa Marc & Grandma Mimi this past weekend. Grandma Mimi took us to pick apple at one of her favorite apple orchards. It was Hank's first time and boy did he try all the apples. Aaron would take a big bit out of an apple and then give it to Hank. He loves apples now. It is amazing what a boy can eat with only two fang teeth. We picked a big bag of apples to take home. I love fall for this reason, fresh apples and picking apples.

Sisters & Company!!

I have not had to buy many clothes for Hank since he has been born. The ones I have bought are for pictures or because I see some cute clothes while out shopping and have to have them. Marsha will give Jenny the clothes from Sam and then I get them after Max has used them. Jenny has bins all marked by sizes in her attic and she is very organized so it goes very fast. It is much faster then taking Hank out shopping in the stores. It is truly a blessing to have family that is so willing to share. One of the nice things is Jenny loves to shop and she has good taste so Hank is dressing in style.

Thank You, Aunt Marsha & Aunt Jenny for all my cool clothes. Love Hank!!

Hank's Driving!!

Okay, Mom's what do you do with your young children when you are trying to get out the door?? Well this is what I found works for us for a bit. I'm sure it will soon get boring for Hank and I will have to find another idea. You can all image how a driver seat will keep a little boy busy for me to get all the last minute things together to head out the door. Yes that is Bella in the back seat. Anytime we get our shoes on she knows what that means.... time to go!! I think she is the one that loves to go the most in the house. We will take her as much as we can, but most time she is home by herself.

Our weekend with the Jenkins!!

We spent our Labor day weekend with the Jenkins in Columbus, Ohio. We love to get our family together a couple times a year. We spent Saturday relaxing, shopping and a nice dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Our nights are fun because we put the kids to bed and stay up late, like the good old days of being single. We will watch movies or just chat until wee hours of the morning.

We then attended church at the Westerville 1st ward at 1pm. That was tough for Hank because he is an afternoon napper. We then went out boating on Alum Creek Reservoir Sunday evening.

We went to the Columbus Zoo on Monday afternoon. It was also Aaron & I wedding anniversary. We have been married for 7 years. It was nice to have the day off of work and spend it together as a family. We then headed home to Delta around 4pm after a fun day at the Zoo.

Thanks to the Jenkins for being so kind and letting us spend the weekend with your family. We always have so much fun and look forward to our next weekend visit.

Beef Stand

One of the high lights to the Fair is working in the Beef Stand on Thursday. My brother-in-law runs the stand for the day. I usually work the day shift and Aaron helps in the evening after work. We always have fun. It's along the same line as working at the Dugout, so you smell like a cheeseburger after you are done. It's nice to help and volunteer your time.

Hank's 1st Birthday

We had Hank's party on July, 6th at the Allen's pond/house.. It was about a 100 degree's that day so we moved it in doors to enjoy the AC. It started at 4pm, we swam in the pond, ate dinner, opened presents, enjoyed cake and ice cream.

Hank was not into his cake. He did not want to play in it at all. Finally after everyone left we put him back in front of his cake and he was more interested in it then. He was very tired after everyone left..

Elder Allen

My little nephew Even Allen left for his 2 year mission on August 15, 2012. He is in the MTC (Mission Training Center) for 9 weeks in Provo, Utah. Then will head to Riverside, California for the rest of his mission. He was so excited to leave and start a new chapter of his life. I was so excited for him too, but very sad to see him leave. He is a awesome young man and will be able to touch the heart of the people in Riverside while teaching the gospel.

Evan has been gone for 3 weeks now and I still get tears when I think about him. I am so proud of him for the good choices he has made in his life and I'm not even his mom. He is setting a great example for my son Hank. I hope Hank will follows in Evan's and his Dad's footsteps and severs a mission when he turns 19 too. Not looking forward to that day anytime soon.

Here are some pictures at the Toledo airport at 6am in the morning. I didn't look as good as Evan so that is why I'm not in any of them. :)  Hank is still in his PJ.

Looking good for 6am in the morning..

Hank will be 3 years old when Evan gets back!!

Evan got set apart as a full time Missionary!!

Bella Loves our Mailman!!!

Our mailman know's how to become friends with dogs.. Jim delivers to our neighborhood between 11 and noon everyday. Bella can hear his truck drive down the street. She then wants outside and waits for Jim to deliver our mail. The big reason Bella loves the mailman is because she gets a treat. He always has treats for her. When their is a sub on his route she is not happy. No treat for her those days. I had to snap some pictures to always remember these days.

Jim makes Bella sit first!!

Treat time!!

He is a very nice mailman and we enjoy visiting with him when Hank and I are outside playing.. I love small towns and how everyone cares about you and your family. We have great neighbors that look out for us too..

Summer Crawler!!

Hank has been crawling most of the summer so that mean rough knees. He has the one legged crawl too. He is moving very fast concerting it's only with one leg. I have tried to show him how to use both knees but he is use to just using one. He is still not walking but is getting very close. I am working with him on walking but he always gets down and crawls because it it faster.
