Mad Rush to Kirtland & Back!!

Aaron, Hank & I went on a day trip to Kirtland, Ohio on Saturday, December 22nd. Our friend, Eric just got his mission call to Veracruz, Mexico in mid December.

Justin & Eric with his call!!

Eric really wanted to go to Kirtland to see the Church sites and the Christmas Nativity. We meet up with the Jenkins (Justin, Crystal, Madalyn & Jillian) Eric and Casey on Saturday afternoon. We spent the afternoon in Kirtland and enjoyed a spiritual day to start off the Christmas Season.

On the way home we stopped to see Aaron's Great Aunt Toni. She is 95 years old and good shape for her age. They have not seen each other since 1988. Very long time. She was so excited to see Aaron and meet Hank & I. We plan to make a trip back to see her in January. She wouldn't let me take pictures because she was dressed for bed. She was very sweet.

Christmas Eve!!

We went out for lunch at Los Mariachis and then stopped to pick up some last minute things for Christmas. Our day was very relaxing.

Hank and Bella fast asleep on Christmas Eve!!

PS - The goose egg/black & blue mark on Hanks forehead is because he slipped on some books that he left on the floor and hit his head on the hearth of the fireplace. He did it Friday night and it looks a ton better 3 days later..

Random Places!!

Well Hank is really starting to climb on things. He likes to climb up on a bench and look out the window, especially when Bella goes outside. When Hank is looking out the window then Bella thinks someone is outside and starts barking..

Today he was able to look outside at the snow. It  was very windy and then started to snow at 10 this morning and it's suppose to snow into the night. I think we have about 2 or 3 inch's now.

He climbs up on the dining room table, computer desk and the last place I caught him was on the hearth of the fireplace looking through his dad basket of things..

The left picture - I told Hank he needs to get down & that is what he told me.

December Road Trip!!

Aaron was gone the first 2 weeks of December attending class in Troy, Ohio. He was attending Hobart  Institute of Welding Technology getting Certified as a Weld Inspector. He has been studying for the last 6 months and was very excited to attend class and then take the big exam his last day of class.

That left Hank, Bella and I home alone for 2 weeks, so we decided to take a road trip. We left on Wednesday and drove to Columbus to see Hank's oldest cousin Rudi. We went to visit her at work and meet some of her co-workers. We hung-out Wednesday night, shopping & dinner at 5 guys. I got some Christmas shopping done while I was there. Hank also got to meet Rudi's friends at church. They went to the institute building to play Basketball and Volleyball and Hank loves playing with balls so he had a blast. He also slept great that night. We stayed in Rudi's apartment with her and her roommate.

Dinner at 5 Guys with Cousin Rudi!!

The entire time Hank & I were visiting Rudi, she changed every diaper, got Hank in and out of his car seat and even gave Hank a bath Wednesday night. It was a nice break for me considering Aaron was gone all week and I had to do everything. Thursday morning I was also able to go out and take a 45 min walk and Rudi watch Hank for me. I came home to see this..
She is a great Cousin!!

She loves babies too!!

Rudi had to be at work Thursday afternoon so Hank and I got packed up and headed to Easton to meet up with a friend of mine from Nationwide..

Andrea and I worked at Nationwide together for about 5 years. We even took a class together at Columbus State while we both were going to school. She was around while Aaron and I started dating so she got to hear about all the excitement of dating, the engagement and wedding.. She had been a great friend and we don't get together very often now that I live 3 hours away. I did text her when I knew I was going to have some free time while in Columbus..

Andrea and I meet up at Red Robin for dinner and got to catch up on many years. Andrea finally got to meet Hank too. He was warming up to her as we finished dinner.

Hank got to meet Red Robin!!

Thursday night Hank & I headed out to Aaron's parents house in Newark. We got in late and Hank was already sleeping when we got there so he headed right to bed. It was a very long day for him.

Friday we hung-out at the house and relaxed and waited for the arrival of daddy. He drove over to Newark from Troy to visit us for the weekend. Hank was so excited to see his daddy after 5 days. I was happy too because I missed him as well..

Saturday morning we just enjoyed some family time around the house.. Hank would not let his daddy out of his site.. One moment I walked out to the hallway and saw this.

Saturday afternoon we ran some errands and then went to visit Jeff & Tracy (Aaron's good friends while growing up). They let us help with the horses. They have to bring the horses in every night and then they also get fed each night. Hank got to help and also sit on a horse too. Pictures to come!!

Sunday we went to the Newark ward for church. Then Aaron had to put in a couple hours of studying for his class, so Hank and I headed to Westerville to visit the Jenkins. Aaron came later and joined in on the fun.

Hank with the Jenkin girls!!

Monday morning Aaron headed back to Troy, Ohio to finish his last week of class and then take the exam on Friday. It was just Hank & I for another week. It was sad to see daddy leave again, but glad it was the last week. That afternoon we headed home for the rest of the week. The 2 weeks without daddy went fast and mommy survived it. Now we are just waiting to see if he passed his big exam.

Church Christmas Party!!

We enjoyed a nice dinner, desserts and snacks at our annual Church Christmas Party. A very nice program was planned for us after dinner. It's always fun to get together with our church family this fun time of the year!!

Hank enjoyed running around the gym with all the kids!!! We couldn't get him to eat dinner because he was so excited to play with the kids at church!!

Santa was trying to talk to Hank but he wanted nothing to do with Santa. Hank even started to pout on Santa lap.. No toys for Hank this year!! haha!! I love his bottom lip.

Santa Claus!!

Hank went to visit Santa Claus at Bass Pro Shop last week. He was a little scared to see Santa and started to cry once we put him on Santa's lap. He sat long enough to get a couple of pictures. Maybe next year he will be ready to tell Santa what he wants for Christmas.

Waiting in line to see SANTA!!
We are very excited to have Hank at this time of year to enjoy the excitment of the Holiday' season with him.. He is truly a joy to have around our home. We are so Blessed to be his parents!!

1st Annual Progressive Dinner!

We had our Very First "Pieracini Progressive Dinner".

It all started when my 2 sisters (Marsha & Jenny) and I were painting a rental house for 4 days.. Yes a lot of sister talk. Jenny was worried she was not going to see my Christmas lights and decorations this year. She thought I needed to have her over for dinner and I did think about it until Marsha came up with a better idea.. A Progressive Dinner at each siblings home. Wonderful idea!!

The hardest part about it all was coming up with a weekend that worked for 5 families.. We did it the 1st Sunday in December. Nick was the only one that couldn't attend and Andrew (since he lives in Georgia) too.

First we attended Marsha's home for appetizers.

Enjoying the appetizers!!

Christmas Ornaments

Pieracini's Thanksgiving!

Grandma gives all the Grandchildren ornaments on Thanksgiving day and then they can put them on their tree for Christmas. Then when they are grown they will have about 18 or more to take with them to put on their Christmas tree when they move out. This is a tradition my Grandma Pieracini started for me & my siblings. I love that the tradition carries on.

Hank on Thanksgiving Day!!

This year Hank's ornament is the green "H" in the picture. Thanks grandma & grandpa Pieracini. I can't wait to see all the ornaments he gets over the next 18 years.

Bella loves to lay around and Hank loves to jump on her. Bella will let Hank jump on her for awhile but then she usually gets up and walks away. Every once in awhile Bella will growl at him and Hank will walk away crying.

Hank is a silly boy becasue he will dive into Bella bed and lay on it. It is so funny.

Fall Zoo Trip!

Hank & I went to the Zoo with my dear friend Brandi and her daughter Quinn. Brandi has been a friend of mine since grade school. It was great to spend sometime with her.

It was Brandi's birthday so we planned a trip to the zoo in November. The weather was awesome. I think it was in the 50's. Perfect weather for a November day. Plus I think I saw a total of 40 people the whole time we were at the zoo. It was nice because we got to see everything and didn't have to fight a crowd too.

Hank and Quinn are 11 months apart. They look so cute together!!

The animals were very active and out all day. It was a great day at the Zoo.

Hank & Mommy enjoying a day at the zoo. Love this Boy!!

Halloween 2012

This year Halloween was on Wednesday and we went Trick or Treating in Liberty Center.
We like Hank to see his grandparents and cousins.
Hank dressed up as a Lion and he was a cute one too.

We walked about 2 blocks with Nick, AJ & Mitch and that was good for Hank this year. He still doesn't understand what Halloween is. His favorite candy right now is plain M&M's.

He got to see all his cousins in the area and that is the most important part of the night..

Hank just started to walk and we tried to let him walk a bit but that took a long time. We borrowed his costume from his Aunt Jenny and her kids wore it too. It is a nice and simple costume for a 16 month.

Fire Department

October is Fire Prevention month so we decided to take Hank to see the Fire Trucks. Hank also loves Elmo visits the Fire House DVD. So we thought this was a great opportunity for him to see a real Fire Truck. I called our local fire department to see if they would give us a tour of the Fire house. They were more then willing so I called up Hank's local cousins and a couple of his friends and we planned a night to go.

We went to McDonald's for dinner and headed to the Fire Department. They learned about all the equipment they wear and use. They got to sit in the fire trucks and see were they sleep until they get a call to put out a fire. They even turned on the lights for the kids to see. We would like Hank to visit the Fire department every 2 -3 years so next time I think he will really enjoy it.

Hank had 6 cousins (Morgan, Emmett, Molly, Sam, Max & Mitch) and 3 friends (Ethan, Parker & Carleigh) come with him. Grandma and Bookie joined us as well.

Annually Pumpkin Carving Party!!

The Annually Pumpkin Carving Party was on Sunday, October 28th at the Perry Home. Jenny has family and friends over to carve our pumpkins. Every year Jenny's not sure she wants to have it but she can't say no to a party. We are so glad she has it because we really enjoy it. We had walking Taco's, Appetizers and Desserts.

I think next year Hank will really enjoy it as he can help carve his own pumpkin.
